Oats with fruits, rightful porridge for the kids

Oats prepared with mango and strawberry can give that healthy but fruity taste to porridge.

This lets your kids enjoy the porridge incase they get bored with the oats with milk version.

Here is how you can go about the preparation of that fruity tasting porridge.

Serves 4 children

Preparation 10 min

Cooking 10 min

 Ingredients

>> 1 lage banana, roughly chopped

>> 125g strawberries, hulled and roughly chopped

>> ½ mango, roughly chopped

>> 1½ table spoon clear honey

>> ½ tsp ground cinnamon

>> 600ml whole milk

>> 150g porridge oats

Method

1. Place the fruit in a saucepan with the honey, the cinnamon and 2-table spoon of water.

2. Bring to the boil, stir gently to combine, and over a medium heat cook for 3–4

minutes until the fruit is soft and a toffee-like sauce has formed.
