One of the leading hotel operators on the African continent on July 30, 2013 revealed plans of venturing second hotel project next year—Park Inn by Radisson in Kigali.
The group already develops the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre Kigali that is scheduled to open in Q2 2104 and will be owned by The Hotel Vision Limited.
The Park Inn by Radisson will welcome the first guests just a few months later in Q3 2014.
The Park Inn by Radisson Kigali is centrally located in the Nyarugenge district of the city centre, which is less than 12km west of the International Airport, Rwanda’s primary point of entry.
The upper midscale Park Inn by Radisson Kigali features 161 guestrooms, and is Carlson Rezidor’s second hotel project in Kigali.
Besides 161 guestrooms, the hotel features a 225m² all-day dining restaurant, a 80m² lobby bar, and a club lounge.
It also features an outdoor swimming pool with a 110m² pool bar and terrace, and 500m² meeting and conference facilities.
Apart from that the property also includes a gym, spa, hair salon, and nightclub.

Rwanda will embrace several more hotels expected to open in the next few years including, Vision Hotel (4-star) with 157 rooms, the Sheraton Hotel and Marriott a 5-star hotel with 251 rooms
Consequently, Park Inn branded property will put up an to additional of over 6000 hotel rooms in Rwanda.
Rwanda also hosted an estimate of 493,744 visitors in the first semester 2012 corresponding to an increase of 22% compared to 2011 in the same period and recorded a remarkable 16% increase in leisure visitors as well as an 8% increase in business visitors.
The tourism sector generated $281.8m (Rwf178 billion) during 2012 compared to $251.3m in 2012 a growth of 16 per cent, according Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
